HFC CHAMP LOOKING TO ADD THE V3FIGHTS INTERIM FLYWEIGHT TITLE TO HIS NAME

Larry DiGiulio went to a wrestling camp at Gilbert’s Grappling when he was fifteen years old and the rest is history.

At camp he saw that they had MMA training afterwards and he had been a fan of the sport ever since he saw the first UFC in 1993, so he decided to stay and give it a try. DiGiulio caught on very quickly and started competing in submission grappling, boxing, NAGA and Chicago’s Golden Gloves.  He then turned professional at the age of 18.  He is still trains at Gilbert’s Grappling and sports a professional MMA record of 23-9-1 and on June 17 he will be fighting for the V3Fights’ interim flyweight title.

Standing in his way on June 17 will be top prospect and CFFC flyweight champion, Sean Santella.  What makes this fight interesting is DiGiulio is the Hoosier Fight Club champion so this will be the first bout where two champions under the Alliance MMA umbrella will face one another and the winner will not only hold their respective belts, but the V3Fights’ interim title as well.  When asked about his opponent and opportunity, here is what DiGiulio had to say:

“I’m really looking forward to this fight.  We are both really high ranked guys in our division and that is what the fight game is all about, testing your skills against other tough fighters to prove that you’re one of the best out there.  This fight is giving me the opportunity to do just that.  This is the perfect fight to get me going where I want to be in my career.  I don’t know a lot about my opponent.  I don’t really focus too much on my opponent.  I train to be ready for anything.  I train and have the mindset that I’ll have the advantage everywhere because if I don’t, then I didn’t do my job properly, which is being a complete well-rounded fighter.  But fighting another champ is really cool and adds a good deal of hype to the fight.”

Many people are saying that V3Fights 60 is the most stacked regional card that they have ever seen and DiGiulio vs Santella is definitely one of the reasons why.  Get your tickets now!
