TEDDY HOLDER LOOKS TO GO ON ANOTHER WIN STREAK AFTER SATURDAY NIGHT

Teddy Holder has fought a list of who’s who among MMA fighters and on some of the biggest stages in the world and on May 11 he makes his return to the V3 cage.

He currently holds a record of 10-4 and fights out of Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu in Memphis, TN.  He got started in MMA back in college when he had a lot of anger and frustration built up.  He would watch Chuck Liddell fight and watch shows like “The Ultimate Fighter Season 1” and he thought he could do it and got in touch with some guys that were doing it in Lexington, TN.  They pointed him to Jason Wood and after a few weeks of training he took his first fight.

“I didn’t know a damn thing but I won so after that I was kind of hooked,” states Holder.

Holder will find himself in the main event this Saturday night against undefeated Pete Pirtle who is coming down from heavyweight and making his 205 debut.  Holder weighed in on this fight and this is what he had to say:

“I always feel that I have the advantage standing with anyone.  As far as the fight goes, I try to think about every aspect of the fight and not get too drawn in on one thing.  It’s MMA and not boxing, and a lot more can happen.  I have to be prepared for everything in endless amounts of situations so I think it’s best to focus on it as a whole and not try to get that deer in the headlights approach to one thing over another when they are equally important.  I just want to do me and take it to wherever it may lead.  In the past I got all tangled into the concept of not needing to lose and fighting not to lose instead of to win.  I have my reasons for what I do and regardless of the outcome, I did it my way.  I have nothing to prove to anyone except myself.”

Although a veteran of the sport, Holder still has a ton of fight left in him and Saturday night he will look to start a winning streak which hopefully leads him to another shot at the big time!  Get your tickets now!
